If the Giulia wagon is anything like the 156 wagon, you are not missing much. That so-called wagon was about as potent a hauler of stuff as a Golf, and no, I’m not talking about the Golf wagon.

If availability was what it is in the US, I’d have bought one ages ago. What’s not to like about the ability to haul wife, kid, dog, luggage AND mother-in-law with a Corvette motor?

Are you sure it shouldn’t read “Powerful adventurer” and “stylish explorer”? Or is this some in-joke that just went past me?

Oh yes. There is nothing like popping the hood, not to see a rat scamper away, oh no: to find half a rat nestled beside the air filter, stored there by a marten for later snackage.

Been there, done that. Where I have also been: In the trunk of a bus, as in: under the passenger area, between the axles. Because it was Saturday, and the bus was very full, and many people would get off at the next two stops, and no one wanted to wait an hour for the next bus. So kids, just get in and don’t tell

IIRC, the Megane’s rear window has no reverse rake, but is perfectly perpendicular to the ground. Which is so unusual these days that it looks like a reverse rake.

So that is what those fugly things do. I had been wondering.

I thought Keyless Go is when the doors unlock when the car senses the presence of the remote key, without you being subjected to the humiliation of having to press a button with your actual finger?

Many years ago I visited a sight in England - I believe it was Corfe Castle. When I went to the restroom, lo and behold, there was a certificate on the wall, informing me that this was the “LOO OF THE YEAR 1995" or some year in that neighborhood.

Scrolled for that, wasn’t disappointed.

What is that silver coupé at about 1:20? At first glance I thought 911, but it has BMW kidneys in front, and the taillights are all wrong.

The Stuttgart S is standard for Mercedes press photos. The head offices of Mercedes are also in Kreis Stuttgart. Untertürkheim never had its own plates.

I agree that the Supra is not that much of a looker. But the Crosstour’s rear fenders do sit heavily above those wheels. It reminds me a bit of the BMW 5 series GT - so heavily conceptualized that it’s hard to tell what the car actually looks like. The 1st gen Audi 100 Avant or even the current Opel Insignia hatchback

Yes, but the Crosstour is not a shooting brake. It’s an ugly example of a body type I find quite intriguing since the days of the first Passat, though I am unsure what to call it (four-door fastback?).

Is that black coupé in the background a Pegaso?

I think that was the Passat plagued with bowden-cables-for-the-gearbox-gremlins. Not sure about the VR6, though.

If you are really keen on seeing one, go to Italy. In other parts of Europe you might spot one, but the odds are heavily against you.

Not using snow tires in a snowy area is a bad idea, period. FWD/RWD/AWD notwithstanding.

Frankly, I don’t get this whole “vehicle not made for towing” thing. AFAIK, a towing hitch is usually a factory option on German luxury cars, at least in Germany and surrounding countries. It definitely is for the S-class, I just checked. The simple reason is that hereabouts affluent people often are very much into

I blame my cancer on the litters that replaced the letters.
