Does it automatically mean that because a white person said “All African drumming is shit!”, that this person is racist? I am genuinely curious, what if a Latino person had said this, would you also want with the same punishment? At the very least, the negative opinion about drumming shows immaturity and a lack of

I also found her letter to be very cautious. She wasn’t trying to be inflammatory or even assertive, but rather she was trying to provoke a conversation. The tone was more like, “what about this idea? How should we view that?”. They caused me to think. Not necessarily agree with her, but to think about it, which I

No, no one read anything. The funny part is that it seems to be mostly undergrads. Most of the grad students I know here are embarrassed, and we are all befuddled as to how these kids are going to survive in the world outside Yale - including New Haven.

Yep. That letter basically boiled down to, “These students are adults in the eyes of the law. They can figure some stuff out on their own.”

Did anyone actually read the Yale professors response to the halloween costume letter?

He’s not ‘enjoying himself’, he’s rubbing it in his opponents collective faces, which is all good and well, until some linebacker or saftey decides he’ll take the 15 yards roughing the passer penalty and goes low after his knees or uses his helmet to concuss Cam into the next week.

Michigan and Mass are doing this same thing, so...IDK, get off your high horse.

This is reprehensible and all, but *if* there’s probable cause to believe that criminal activity is being discussed at a particular mosque it might not be a bad idea for the police to get a warrant to monitor it.

But you realize that she has been arrested for speech, right? That you have arrested someone for saying something that wasn't violent toward another. Had a muslim actually gone in and been refused I can see it differently, but policing speech is exactly fascism.

Or maybe he felt that it was insulting to share an award with a vapid reality tv star who has literally never done anything for anyone else.

Thank you. I was bummed it took this long for anyone to mention the arrest.

Boo on her being a bigot but boo on the arrest over her postings. Jesus, what kind of fascist act is that? For once, I like how they do it here in the US when it comes to people like her; bad mouth her on the internet and boycott her place until she goes bankrupt. No one should be arrested for posts like this. Shamed?

I’d really hate if Assad is ousted. He may be a prime asshole to his people but hardly bothered the West.

Until we can remove humans from both areas of work and let sterile machines do all of the handling, we just need to accept potential poisoning as a cost of business for not doing things ourselves.

One of the attackers was female.

But you already knew it was a ratchet hoodrat.

One of my biggest frustrations with the progressive movement is the sometimes-tendency to ignore the fact that there are elements of militant, political Islam that are the antithesis of western values. No, that is certainly not an indictment of all Muslims, 99.9%+ of whom are fantastic, wonderful people.

The truth never changes and is not comfortable to everyone.

There’s nothing wrong with bigotry if the target of hate is a culture prone to religious fanaticism. It seems you feel uncomfortable saying that radical Muslims are pieces of shit and realize being a “better person” doesn't always mean moral relativism.

1) Allowing radical Muslims into a country in order to be “accepting, diverse, multi-cultural” is deadly
