I worry too. This is why I am focusing more on political action than civil disobedience right now, with absolutely no disrespect meant towards driven, passionate, principled protesters. I just only have so much bandwidth (and less disposable income), so I think the best action I can take is to basically campaign for…
I’ve been listening to a lot of K’naan. America, featuring Mos Def, is good for the anger, and of course Waving Flag or Immigrants from the new Hamilton Mixtape are good to feed hope.
Look into Sherrod Brown, too. He’s a legit force and was supposedly on the list of “he’d make a great VP but then we’d lose another Democratic Senator.”
And, to add to what others are saying, it is on Congress, but it is really on us to be vocal and demand our representatives (Democrat or Republican) act with…
I prefer EPGOT given the Disney tie in.
Awww, hooray for absurdist humor and extra hooray for The Last Waltz!
That seems very plausible. But also someone (NY Post, I think?) pointed out that Trump pretty much ignores all his kids until adulthood.
I... read one. Essentially, she is very much a trust fund kid and ostensibly less driven than her siblings. SHOCKING.
Right?
I was telling one of my employees about this and he started going on about how she and her whole family deserve it and said she doesn’t have a soul. I told him I didn’t agree and that he was being inappropriate, and he dug deeper, saying, “Seriously, with her stupid app and everything she’s done? I’m sorry, but…
I have always washed my legs, but in adulthood I have recognized that more important than washing for me is exfoliating. I get ingrowns literally everywhere, plus my skin just gets scaly sometimes. I am very jealous to hear that there are people who do not have horrible skin after skipping one exfoliation session.
Beautifully put. I have always had difficulty explaining why I both love and am distressed by Dylan. “I’m Not There” hinted at it, the idea of simultaneously experiencing current and past versions of oneself without assigning specific judgement or value, but I think you’ve really nailed it.
When the main character leaves work after a rough week but more resolved than ever, and also the sun is setting in a glimmery way:
I am confused. Is the university seriously stating that protests are a threat to freedom of expression? I cannot make my brain wrap around that idea.
The slapstick fall is always appropriate. I would also have accepted spit-take. More specifically, multiple spit-takes. Spit-takes following every. Single. Statement.
I, for one, really appreciated the Pokemon Go article. First, I did not previously know what Pokemon were, so that is helpful. Also, it is important to know that most kids like to play games and are allergic to something. Finally, it seems like most sheeple are totally ignoring the cruel reality of Pokemon.
Agree to disagree. Although I have mostly switched to wash gloves for greater exfoliation.
I think loofahs are gross, especially when people travel with them.
Oooh, I forgot to comment! I’m in love with Ursa Major’s Fantastic Face Wash. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s cruelty-free, scented with cedar, spearmint, & lime, and amazing at exfoliating.

To the hierarchy mentioned, I would also add attacks perpetrated by girls against girls, which many (myself included) reference as evidence in the early lessons girls receive on the exceptional value of male attention.
I clarified this to another poster as well, but I’m not saying I would hire an unqualified candidate over a qualified one. I hire into one position at a time, and when I have more than one qualified applicant, I have to consider other factors. Spending the bulk of the interview trashing another job is not a tactic…
I think one of the best approach is explaining what steps you took to try to improve the relationships/environment. If you are able to say, “Motivation seemed to be a real challenge, so I implemented the following procedures,” or “There was a lot of inter-team conflict, so I researched conflict resolution and took the…
