That kinda makes sense, nut begs the question why wouldn’t most women take the pill if they weren’t trying to get pregnant regardless of their age? Especially since it effectively makes your body think it’s pregnant and thus continues hormone production (I’m assuming that is the case anyway)? I’m aware many women

My neck might be sagging. I can’t really see it under the layers of pimples.

If you use oral contraceptives as directed, you still have normal periods (actually, very regular ones - that may or may not be normal for you or me). If you only take the hormone-laden ones and do so every day, you won’t have periods at all.

How did you train your cat to wear clothes? Asking for a friend.

AH! So that’s what’s up with my neck- I’ve been noticing that in myself this summer. I’m 42, and I’ve been experiencing symptoms that have been steadily ramping up since I was about 37. Night sweats- BIG TIME. Thankfully, the black cohash that my doc recommended really has helped THAT issue. Some crazy mood swings,

I will no longer read lifehacker because of this HORRIBLE INSULT to my friend Brak.

weird - mine seems to go by song title, not by band name. I have a lot of aha on my iphone (love it, don’t care what anyone sez) but I always get Sleigh Bells’ A/B Machines. Which is an amazing song that I also love... but not, like, every time I start my car. :/

I was thinking just that but 99 cents is expensive for silence!

I have a fair bit of concert band music in my library. Mine is Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” It starts with a giant drum hit and crash cymbal. its seriously jolting first thing in the morning.

Ed Sheeran’s “The A Team” is my first song, and for the longest time the next two were System of a Down’s “A.D.D.” then “A.D.I.D.A.S.” by Korn. There was no escape from this disaster until I added some jazz!

Mine is A-Ha’s “Take on Me,” and tbh I love it

For me it’s some song from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack called “Aaj Ki Raat”. I don’t even know how that song got on my phone and I’m too lazy to go in and delete.

“No hits, deep tracks only!”

This guy is a scumbag, certainly. That said, just in general, not sure it’s cool to publish names of minors accused of crimes, even if they are being tried as an adult. I don’t like the idea of trying kids as adults in the first place, because kids are fucking stupid - it’s part and parcel with being a kid. I don’t

You should also check out the book from the pilot mentioned above. It’s called Cockpit Confidential. Great read and it did wonders for me as a somewhat nervous flier!

Yep. Learning about flying did the trick for me, also. I still a little white-knuckled now and then, but I actually like flying now.

I studied aerospace in college and grad school, and yeah, my fear of flying was dramatically reduced as school went on. Now I’m just “nervous” because getting crammed into a tube and hurled a great distance sucks no matter if it’s on air, land, or sea.

Thanks for the book link, I’m going to check that out. I used to fly lots and don’t know why it makes me more nervous now. Once I started to think of turbulence as just wind, for some reason that made me calmer.

I’ve run into several old acquaintances from high school whilst working in retail hell. I never went to college like most of peers, despite being among the top of my class (too poor to afford it), so I constantly worried they’d secretly judge me.

That’s what I’ve seen it called in facebook videos and they have fun ones like chocolate cake with chocolate pudding, fake tres leche one with vanilla pudding and rum, etc.
