I read years ago that men are more likely to survive plane crashes. Not because they’re in better shape, but because they’re more willing to step over and on people to get to the exit. Hmph.

A walk in the park with a nice soundtrack is my ideal. Actually as long of a walk as I can take anywhere is awesome. It’s my therapy.

I’m into them conceptually, since they’re cotton and comfy. But they smoosh the little I have down too much, and I get a uni-boob situation.

Not only that, but if you’re a B cup or smaller, they automatically pad the hell out of bras. I’m not into it, and so I have to shop quite a bit to find an appropriate rig.

My family had HBO pretty early on, and they had a lot more non-fiction series then. There was a “Fire at the Cocoanut Grove” documentary that was riveting. Those shows are impossible to find, but I’d love to watch them again. 

I wish people could accept this for adults, too. I’m not a hugger (except for family and close friends), and I moved from a reserved midwestern city to the way more touchy east coast years ago and adjusting has been tough. Yep, all the mid-40s men (my age) Peter Panned through their baby-making years and are now looking for a woman who is at least half a generation younger so they can start a family. The nibbles I get are from men my dad’s age. This is all making me pretty cool with staying single.

The diet that works best is the diet that works for you. Some people can make this go, some can’t. I just count calories, and it works out okay.

It’s true, but my point was more that the weight losers/regainers I know can’t seem to work with those restrictions in the long term.

Perhaps true, but the Weight Watchers-types I know seem to stay within a range. It’s hard to do a diet this restrictive and keep it going for life.

I know almost a dozen people who’ve lost a lot of weight on ketogenic diets. And they tend to go back on the diet once they gain the weight back and then they lose it again, and so on.
