I really don’t get the hate for the tablet look. If they didn’t look like tacked on tablets, you’d either have to have a MASSIVE dash to cover it, drop it down below eye level to preserve the dash height, or make it span the entire width of the dash, like Mercedes and Audi do. Retractable screens are a non-starter…

Excuse me for being pedantic, but it’s a hatchback not an estate car.

I liked them. They were somewhat bland (though not anymore than 90% of american cars of the time), but they are very comfortable and are a good relaxing freeway cruiser that with the v8 was reasonably powerful. I also think they have aged better than a lot of cars. They look dated, but not in a bad way necessarily.

Can’t you just crack open another window to relieve the pressure?

Seems pretty obvious in the picture that there’s some sort of roll-up door that could block off one of those hallways (you can see the redline on the ground marking where the door comes down). I’d hazard a guess there’s also another roll-up door on the other side of the hallway that’s not visible in the picture. So…
