I think he did it as well, but I also think it was a wrongful conviction. The state did not have enough to go on, and the jury convicted but it still isn’t right. The defense attorney’s tactic was misguided, and just wrong. She didn’t utilize her witnesses and didn’t understand the technology (cell phones and email)

I enjoyed it, but the reporter’s investment in presenting Adnan as someone with charisma and intelligence and attractiveness was very off putting. He sounded perfectly mediocre, so I don't get why she was hyping him up.

Rabia is seemingly VERY obsessed with this thing, where it no longer seems like it comes from the goodness of her own heart.

The first time I defied my dad, I was 12, and he got tired of seeing my hair in my face. He told me I had to cut it and I said no. Unaccustomed to rebellion from me, he insisted but I held firm. Desperate for a solution, he threatened to take me to the juvenile detention facility. I told him to take me. So we get in

So my question is, was Walmart receiving financial compensation for hiring this employee (which they do for hiring people on welfare so I can see them getting money for hiring parolees) and if so was that about to run out and if so is that, perhaps, why they discarded this man as carelessly and callously as the cans

This is so terribly sad to me. I’m not sure if I am just in a particularly morose mood, but I just can’t with this.

For something so minor - and *obviously* a very weird place to draw the “fair game” recyclable line - even though ridiculous, just have that $2 be returned (and perhaps some additional employee signage near the entrance). DUH

Buy if he’d taken them out of the cart (so customers don’t have to use carts with empty beer cans in them) and thrown them in the trash, that would be fine, right? Because it’s not like Wal-Mart wanted them. Wal-Mart just didn’t want him having them. Logically.

This is local news for me. The worst part is reading the comments on the times Union website. Most people support Walmart’s decision.

In the meantime, the c-suite assholes are granting themselves hundreds of millions in options, despite sales being down, stores falling apart, the well-reported abuse of employees, and accepting returns of boxes of rocks instead of computers.

And this is the kind of stuff the red-staters in fly over country are willing to die to support. Funny thing is they often work for the same wages under similar conditions.

kids/people are so weird. hahaa

This is so dumb that I really like it.

I hope this doesn't upset you, but your father was a fucking asshole. Dickhead. Can't come up with enough words to describe what a despicable human being he was for not kicking his friend out of his house for talking about his daughter's breasts.

GROSS. What kind of grown-ass men are even looking at a 12 year old girl’s breasts, let alone commenting on them?!

“You need to lose 10lbs off your butt” - THE LAST WORDS MY GRANDMOTHER SAID TO ME BEFORE SHE HAD A STROKE AND BECAME NONVERBAL AND DIED.

I like to think he was emasculated (good, fucker) because I was two inches taller than him. He’s a fuckface.

“I have had 5 kids and I am not as fat as you” my mom to me at the first xmas I brought my husband to. She then attempted to make out with my husband in the bathroom and when he rebuffed her, asked her boyfriend to kick his ass. She was not drunk.

I was about 12. My dad had buddies over to watch hockey or some such. I was asked to bring snacks, etc. into the room for them. One or two of them made digs at me about having “small tits”. My dad agreed with them, and some other sort of joke was made. My face burned, and something inside me broke. Totally stopped

“She looks like a clown’s whore.”
