Actually, American Sniper was nominated at the PGA and *somehow* the DGA, so it's even worse than that!

Jackie was practically a non-stater this season so I wouldn't pick Larrian.

What do you think of the ASC cinematography nominees?

To be fair the PGA always has 2-3 movies M.I.A come oscar noms, and they are quite a bit more populist (Stat Trek was nominated in 2009 for example).

I thought the trajectory was a consistent decline before an inevitable defeat before a shocking victory was the Donald Trump way, and barring anything mindbogglingly stupid Deadpool is going to do the opposite.

-Constant references to sex
-Horrible facial disfigurement
-Contentious social-media interaction

WHO CARES ABOUT PLOT LOOK IT'S SO PRETTY

If they're in it and you don't give it a pass it must be irredeemable!

In all of 5 theaters before the end of the year.

Tangential to this discussion, I can now call this 'Morten Tyldum fucks up a Blacklist script: Part 2'.

I think it's supposed to be morally questionable in the original script at least, but who knows how Mortem Tyldum could've fucked it up.

Congratulations to 'Moonlight' on its Best Adapted Screenplay win.

"Oh my god, how did this film with only two main characters not get nominated in a category for ensemble casts where the lowest number of named people has been three!!!"- Every single fucking Oscar watcher at this moment.

Then how does it work as a suprise?
How would it change how we see the rest of the movie?!
Who though this was a good idea!?!

(Not even going to bother hiding this shit because you all crave it)
So your saying that the main character's dead wife appears as someone else to guide him through his grief?

'Creed' looks very far away now..

I'll just say if anyone thinks I am shocked by this, I absolutely was not.
