I don’t think the whole point of Shakespeare is for the audience to will their suspension of disbelief. I’m not sure where you get that. You might say that as a necessary adjunct to all film/theater/tv, but I don’t think it’s “the whole point,” and certainly not when it comes to Shakespeare.
