Yeah, this is coming from someone in the “Rural” part of New York State (Read, anywhere not in the city, including our state’s 3rd largest city) where voting Democrat is all but assumed.

I think you’re underestimating the sexist voting block that voted for Trump because Clinton is a woman. A sizable portion of my fellow Burnie supporters from the Primary jumped ship to Trump instead of staying with the party and Clinton.

A lot of it (I hope/think) comes from kids/people who don’t understand the difference between good attention and bad attention, and they’re looking for attention. Being racist/sexist/a generally rotten human begin gets them attention.
