Squidbillies! I still like Superjail better though.

This. You are doing it right, my list is similar, but with a proper rear wheel drive coupe/sedan for cheap, like a new 70's Datsun.

@zerobandwidth: Not all that obscure, and thanks for making me get pissed off all over again.

Oops, for some reason, I spaced on the fact that it is indeed a Roller, and not a Bentley, and thus, uses a BMW v12 and not Bentley's old lump. I do like the Bentley engine better though, and I now have a strong desire to know why Rolls/BMW are even using that specific displacement. Tradition maybe?

@Mikeado: 6.75 litre twin-turbo v8.

@formuladave: But if they did, I would be in line post-haste to purchase one (or two).

Much appreciated.

Dubble post. oops.

Golf mkI and............

And the Nissan s12.

It's been well documented that Mazda's designers were targeting the 944 in the looks department.

I remember reading somewhere that Mr.k was either involved in designing tho 2000gt or was a great admirer of it. Also I think there was a Yamaha connection, I think they had a hand in designing both of those straight sixes.
