Because it wasn't animated?
Because it wasn't animated?
And it's weird, too, because you would think that South Park would have pretty much erased that mentality from existence in the 90s.
Bird is a legend. He gave us The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille; I'd forgive 1,000 Tomorrowlands based on that. This video just underscores his genius.
"Or we can look forward to a Soderberghian retirement spent producing and directing movies."
Goddamn do I hate this film. Seriously. It's so problematic, pandering, and mediocre that when people say they love it I immediately question their taste in pretty much every art form. I recognize that people can have their own opinions, that's just my opinion of their opinions.
I respect the hell out of Nolan for his continued championing of film over digital. I enjoy his films a good deal as well, and think he's one of the premier blockbuster filmmakers of his generation, but his efforts in boosting film are truly admirable.
No, I think eventually the host would've said something to the effect of "I think you've had enough" and then taken him to some sort of holding cell. Or another host would have interjected and said "I think he's had enough."
It goes beyond nitpicking, though. People are literally taking the show's strengths (like it's refusal to baby the audience and answer all of our questions about the series by goddamn episode 5) and calling them weaknesses.
It very easily is. If you want to make an argument for Conviction or Lethal Weapon, though, go right ahead.
Really perplexed at how much hate this show is getting. It's easily already the best new show of this TV season and better than most things currently airing new episodes at the moment.
"I think the further out you get in the park from the center, the more the hosts can hurt you, although they can't ever kill you."
It's not Arnold, these last two episodes have basically ended that theory.
I have to concur on The Exorcist. I recognize how important it was for horror and special effects, but honestly I don't love the film and definitely don't find it scary. And I am Catholic also.
Solid substitute for the corn meal, I'll keep that in mind.
Chili is one of my favorite things to cook and I feel like every time I make it I am finding new tweaks to add. Some of my (not-so-)secret ingredients are: I use a 2 to 1 ratio of ground beef to ground chorizo; I throw in some corn meal; I use a healthy dose of cumin; a bit of Cholula's chipotle hot sauce; and diced…
Memba' Cloud City? Memba' the Death Star? Memba' Chewbacca?
It was apparently mainly a disagreement over Cable himself. I don't know whether it was who should play him, or how he should be portrayed, or whatever, but that's the rumor.
As far as we know, he quit because of creative disagreements with Reynolds.
I'm in Jersey so my options, I think, are limited. Going to have to head into NYC to seek some of this stuff out most likely.
That would legitimately be the best/worst idea possible. It's a sequel that BECOMES a reboot 2/3 of the way through! Genius!
