As it should be. And Lee is probably the best director of Chinese heritage currently working.
Or that having a two-time Academy Award-winning director who is one of the world's greatest living directors and happens to be Chinese would, you know, be a good get?
Yeah, I'd say Miranda likely has "Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series" all wrapped up for the Emmys next year. The episode itself was just pretty good, overall, but he was uniformly excellent throughout, especially the monologue. That's provided, of course, they don't forget about this a year from now, of…
Thank the television gods AMC renewed the show for a final season. I would not have been satisfied with this as a series finale. The potential Joe/Gordon/Cameron vs. Donna storyline is just too good to not watch play out. As a season finale, however, this was perfect.
Sounds like a pretty interesting/original premise. Although a network it'll probably be mostly toothless, unfortunately. This could've done well on Comedy Central or FX, or even on HBO.
I still do, for one. It's a pretty good show. Not as good as Halt and Catch Fire, but still very enjoyable.
Technically, Halt and Catch Fire already has covered the dawn of social media, hasn't it? Or at least suggested that Mutiny created social media precursors like internet chat rooms and online marketplaces.
Glad Halt and Catch Fire is joining its fellow ratings-challenged-yet-excellent peer, Turn, in the "Fourth and Final Season Renewal" boat. This has really morphed into one of the better shows on television since its average first season and I am glad to have been along for the ride. It's bittersweet, obviously, but…
So, they've got their own version of the Turing Test going on with him. Interesting theory. If he is actually a host, I think this is the best explanation I've heard so far. Although I'm also partial to the "He's a guest who is trying to 'win' Westworld" theory. I definitely think it has to be one of these two.
Could not agree more with this assessment of The Man in Black. He's trying to get that Westworld Platinum Trophy, in Playstation terms. He's done it all over the course of his 30 years visiting the park, and now it seems like he's found the one Easter egg that nobody else has seen. It's like that quote from this…
The second episode was fantastic. I can't get over how well this all turned out, after so many production issues and being a remake of a cult classic film and all. Nolan and Joy's writing is just superb, the cast is incredible, and the production value is off the charts. This could become one of my favorite series on…
"Generalissimo" is a damn great episode of 30 Rock. Although, to be fair, I'd probably say that about pretty much any 30 Rock episode.
Was happy to see this for a second because it frees up the 9-10:00 p.m. timeslot on Sunday for me, and then realized that The Walking Dead isn't back for two more weeks so it's irrelevant. I guess I can watch The Last Man On Earth live instead, although waiting to watch it on Hulu on Monday with no commercials is…
Don't forget How at the end Rachel and Anna basically cover up what really happened after Rachel kills Tom with a wine opener. So much for getting justice for Megan, eh Rachel?
This is the movie Spotlight was a remake of, right? Or, at least a soft reboot?
Around here we call it a "pretentious critic vindaloop."
But what about the Rhinoceros?
The A.V. Club
Seemingly designed to be bizarrely off-putting, grating, or even straight-up boring
I always preferred the vaguely offensive Italian gibberish mixed with physical gestures found in the Mario & Luigi games, myself.
