Johannsson is obviously a fantastic composer but, unfortunately, he could turn in the best work of his life and would still probably be bashed for not living up to the original's iconic score. It's a thankless job, this, much like Alexandre Desplat (another excellent composer) having to score Rogue One.

That, from the day this film was announced, men the world over were outraged that Sony would dare make an all-female Ghostbusters reboot?

Don't have much experience with sarcasm, eh?

I didn't even see that her name was leaked. That's ridiculous.

Popeye's is still better.

Well, it can be both, can't it? Wasn't she, technically, an outcast who needed a place to live?

This is such a tragic story for that poor woman. I seriously can't believe this guy thought he wouldn't have to relitigate his rape accusation when the buzz for this film started growing. I personally was expecting the film to sweep every Oscar category it would be nominated for, but now I wouldn't be surprised if it

That's a gaslighting fail if I ever saw one.

Are you…confusing AFI with the AMPAS?

She was also a woman, which, remember, is the real issue here.

My belief in who is the best actor on this show (Bishè or Davis) shifts episode-to-episode, often scene-to-scene. I'm thinking after that second episode it's Bishè though. For now.

I don't know, I didn't feel like this episode was focusing too heavily on Joe. The reality of it is that, for better or worse, Joe is still one of the show's main characters. They're not dropping him, but at least he's still squarely in the B-story. at least for now. Donna and Cameron were still definitely the focus

The second season completely shifted the focus of the show and it became much better for it. I'd say to check it out and see if you feel the same.

I haven't, actually.

It's a throwback nod to the longtime fans, nothing else.

No, the theory is that the monster is an entity from within Eleven's own subconscious but was given physical form when she encountered it inside her head. Like, she brought it back with her.

Seriously. My greatest happiness is that I never read the A.V. Club Mr. Robot reviews this season. The twist from last week completely surprised me because I never read any fan theories in the reviews or the comments.

The trigger joke was a throwback to the first episode of the cartoon series, also.

I agree. the juxtaposition of the Tick's persona with the super-serious surrounding series really highlights the absurdity of the character in a way that the cartoon and 2001 series did not. I like this quite a lot, actually.
