I think you have a point and I agree the voice acting in most JRPG's cheapen the experience. I think in general voice acting is still a ways off from where it needs to be with really not many excluded in that.
I really want to believe that Zelda and other Nintendo games could survive the leap into voice acting... so far Wii fit and Metroid are the only core Nintendo games I can think of with voiced dialog. People can criticize Metroid Other M's story and writing all day, but I'm glad it had voices to move the story along. …
I'm still not sure how the folks at Monolith Soft are managing to eke so much out of the frustratingly underpowered Wii U, but hey, I'll take it. I mean, just check out that video footage. It looks wonderful. Hopefully they populate that world with interesting enemies and things to do beyond "GO COLLECT THIS THING."…
