Thanks, I appreciate the answer! I'm a big wuss (or animals right activist, your pick) and thus tend to feel widely for all animals in what I see as "pain." I'm aware that many times that empathy is perhaps a bit empty, and that I might be simply reading my own possible pain (or a mammals possible pain) at the

Surely if they - if any creature, has a nervous system, it feels pain? (like above, honest question.)

I knew Samus was baddass but this image is new for me. Bloody amazing! Look at her, barefoot inside a power suit, all buff and tough! This is the Samus I want even in the Zero Suit, strong even while sexy, tough and determined!

When I lived in Japan I found most clothes wouldn't fit me, nor most shoes. It reminded me of writer Angela Carter's experience, finding a rack saying "For Cute Girls Only!" and finding that all the clothes were way too small for her - coming to understand that she was too tall, too big for Japan.

Tepig is just north of Popocatepetl, Mexico <3

Yes. Imagine walking into your classroom and seeing that - rushing to try and stop it - and then people take a picture and laugh :P

You serious? The magazine that brought us Nana is out of print? MY YOUTH!!!

Wow, I must've definitely read an abridged version, I really don't recall any nudes and certainly not any lesbian urges. It might become my holiday read... thanks!

ALF gave me goddamn nightmares when I first watched it. I grew to love the show, and when it turned out my best friend's dad was the voice actor it was one of the most fun days of my life.

To be completely honest, I read this when I was 10 and found it the dullest thing ever. I now remember some very tender moments, descriptions of first kisses and firsts loves. I would probably find a re-read sensual and maybe exciting, but my memories remain a bit on the meh side.

Yes, with all that sensuality and excitement that was missing from the original!

Japan's always been... laxer on this. Like all those whales & dolphins they kill for "research," though don't ask exactly what they research. Movement of the pods, they say, how long they live (until they're harpooned?), family interactions (until they're killed?), nothing seems to warrant the killing.

Nope, I dislike it as much! (in case anyone wonders, I clicked on this one because the idea of "cosplaying in secret" interested me, and rolled my eyes at Jessica Nigri's sexed up version because how else is she going to make a living?) I don't even know if it's possible to stick to Kotaku Core anymore, or how to

Wellll if you compare it to filler arcs nowadays, yeah, it's good, no question! ...but I never liked it, just personal taste :P

She was a bit of a mcguffin, no doubt, but I do think she shows some growth. From completely authoritarian against everyone, including herself, to becoming accepting of herself and other peoples' quirks - I do agree that the winter problem is wrapped too quickly, too conveniently, but I don't mind that much.

Hahahah wow! That's uh, an honor! And one skill to add to the CV. "Able to leave people convinced without knowing what exactly they're convinced of."

That's the "official" explanation, if you will - and I do see several similarities. The design, though, it's similar to Kimba, so maybe they based the designs on that but not the plot?

The best thing is how they look for the missing fruits under the iPad :3

No me digas. ¿Cómo? ¿Por que las dos tienen poderes de hielo y hermanas?

And you really, truly think the Frozen artwork/plot "ripped off" Saint Seiya? Really? What makes you think that beyond the hair colour and the sibling relationship?
