@badasscat: The thing I found very interesting, was that Rez used a "Delay Timer" in it's beat-sequencing. It's subtle, but if you fire off a shot, the sound effect will NOT sound until it's in sync with the beat of the song, thus avoiding a cacophony of sounds not in tune with the beat.
