The only thing better is the way he says “Nope” after seeing the giant creepy clown doll things. It’s such a perfect reaction, and the fact that Cliff doesn’t immediately resort to profanity tells you just how fucking done he is with everything at that moment.

It’s funny, when No Time To Die pushed its date to November it seemed like a crazy overreaction. Now even that date feels questionable.

I really hope Nolan and WB back off the July release date for Tenet. I just can’t see myself going to a movie theatre two months from now, but I hate the idea of missing out on this film on the big screen.

I did an X-Men rewatch this weekend where I started with First Class, then jumped to X-Men and X-2 before finishing with Days Of Future Past. Pretending I’d never seen the films before, it made for an interesting viewing experience. Mystique’s role in X-Men feels more important if you’ve just watched her go from

I was really hoping you’d end the week with Lucy, which is honestly the movie that made me like Scarlett Johansson after years and years of not getting her appeal.

Well this was after Abbott declared all local restrictions void anyway, but I’m just annoyed he had a mask that he was obviously told he had to wear while working the drive through and he had it hanging around his neck.

We got drive through in Sugar Land last night and the guy at the window was wearing a mask... around his neck. Didn’t even bother to pull it up over his mouth and nose.

He’ll also pronounce the P.

I’m torn between being sad that we only got a 13 episode season this year and glad that the whole thing was shot and completed in time to air it all.

Totally agree. Quantum of Solace has some issues due to the writer’s strike, but as an extended epilogue for Casino Royale it does a great job of finishing the origin story that movie started.

Having just re-watched OHMSS and Diamonds Are Forever back-to-back, I really wish *someone* had made a movie where Bond deals with the emotional fallout of his wife’s murder. Such wasted opportunity to have Blofeld as the villain of Diamonds and never bring up Tracy’s death.

I remember reading that Tarantino was pitching his own version of Casino Royale with Daniel Day Lewis as James Bond around the time Jackie Brown came out, but he couldn’t get the rights. Maybe he figured he’d have more luck if he had the current 007 on board.

October feels like a better month for a Batman movie anyway.

Using that criteria, I’d have to agree.

Plus it did the ‘villain wants revenge on M’ thing much better than the widely adored Skyfall. And Robbie Coltrane comes back!

I think Casino Royale is the better film. Goldeneye is more fun, but I can’t call it the best of the Brosnan/Craig eras.

Disagree on Casino vs Goldeneye, but definitely feel like TWINE is a better movie than this one.

For me, Brosnan was a good 007 at the time but looking back I don’t find him as interesting as the Bonds who came before or after him.

Is this one considered underrated? I know it’s less popular than Goldeneye, but I remember it being a pretty big hit. If anything, I think it’s overrated compared to The World Is Not Enough which (with the exception of Denise Richards) is very solid and has the best theme of the Brosnan era.

While you’re on the IFC site, check out some of Baroness Von Sketch show. It’s really funny.
