I didn't think anyone wanted him to play Miles Morales, the push was to cast him as Peter Parker. Then there was a separate push to have Miles be the Spider-man of the post-Garfield reboot. Both ideas I'm in favour of, but combining them (given Donald Glover's age) would be a weird way to go.

That doesn't rule out his doppelganger who smiles all the time!

Slam dunk for Bibbo Bibbowski. Honestly, I want to see this show mine more of the 1990s mythos.

I'm not a fan of the Brandon Routh idea, just because so far they've stuck with the whole doppelganger concept for alternate Earths so having Ray Palmer look exactly like a Kryptonian refugee would feel off. If they're going to stunt cast, Tom Welling makes the most sense (although Henry Cavill would be the easiest

The smart play would have been to follow through with the "Freddy was innocent" idea they teased. Then he's not a child molester, he's a vengeful spirit going after the kids who caused his death.

I know I'm just repeating something I said to you yesterday, but I do think Alice in Nightmares 4 & 5 has a pretty good story and you do get invested in her survival. She's got the alcoholic father in the first movie (who gets clean for the second). She's got survivor guilt after losing her brother and friends in 4,

That's what the "it" is!

Yes, and everyone speculating who your replacement will be nonstop.

Excellent point. I guess it's easy to forget that Ejiofor is famous now when I've wanted him for the role since he was doing stuff like Kinky Boots and Melinda and Melinda.

Plus all the press, and now there's a lot more international (i.e. stateside) promotion than there used to be. You're giving up your entire life and career, which is why most actors leave after 3 years.

It's definitely a full time job, which is why Tennant and Smith and Capaldi haven't been able to do movies between seasons like Jon Hamm and Bryan Cranston could while their shows were filming. But I do think there's something to be said for being first, and for playing such an iconic role. Not saying he'd do it, but

And the Master!

"Doctor Who (which is the name of the show, not the character, BBC News. Ahem)."

I don't know, post 12 Years A Slave he's back to playing supporting characters and doing ensemble stuff. Definitely expected him to get more leading roles. Maybe he'd take a break from Hollywood to be the first non-white Doctor. It's an institution, after all.

Chiwetel Ejiofor has been my pick since before Tennant announced he was leaving. I feel like he wasn't famous enough in 2010, and too famous in 2013, but maybe he's just the right amount of famous to follow Capaldi?

He played a prominent role in Moffat's series Jekyll, so that might have been why he was rumoured for series 5.

Three Scottish Doctors (well, three Scottish actors, only two used their accent).

I think he was up for the Eleventh Doctor. David Harewood was rumoured for the Twelfth though.

Nancy is great. But Alice has the whole "taking up the mantle of the Dream Master" thing, plus Freddy targets her unborn baby so her motivation to stop him goes beyond the normal survival/save friends of the other horror heroines. Obviously, an Alice & Nancy team-up would have been amazing.
