Yeah, I think they're adequate screenwriters who know how to deliver what the Broccolis want and that's all. But with Haggis I'm pretty sure he was brought in to do a rewrite on their Casino Royale script. He was coming off Million Dollar Baby and this was before Crash came out, so I think he was seen as a script

I think so. Definitely darker than Roger Moore, anyway. His films had less humour, and in interviews he always talked about wanting to get back to the coldhearted assassin from the books. Plus his whole second film was a revenge quest.

I love License To Kill, it's just his worst film. But I strongly disagree on Die Another Day being better than The World Is Not Enough.

Just gonna put this out there: I would not be at all upset if Moneypenny went back into the field as the new 007 and they made Naomie Harris the lead.

Paul Haggis doesn't get enough credit for Casino Royale. Other than him it has the same writers as Die Another Day.

I think Spectre worked much better than Skyfall, which is why I hope it's his last Bond film because every other 007 has ended with the worst of his tenure (Diamonds Are Forever, A View To A Kill, License To Kill, Die Another Day).

I look at Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace as one big movie.

Good news, with Putin and Trump in charge of their respective countries we might get a hot war instead!

I think it's going to be more of a "Christian Bale Batman retired, meet Ben Affleck Batman" approach. Except they don't need to toss out his whole supporting cast because M and Q and Moneypenny have carried over to different Bonds before.

I imagine the next Bond movie is going to be lighter, like early Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan. I like the darker Bonds (Craig, Dalton, early Connery) but the pendulum is probably due to swing back.

I think the poor reviews of Quantum of Solace scared them off sticking with the reboot, so they tried to make a Bondier Bond film with Skyfall. It's a shame, the first two are much more interesting than the last two.

Pretty sure he got $100 million for that Star Wars cameo.

Based on a sample size of 20+ movies, I think the answer is yes.

I hope not. Just make another Bond movie, don't try and explain how the change fits into the larger series.

The funny thing about Troma is they could have easily made a version of Poultrygeist that appealed to a mass audience. Those songs, the satire, even some gross-out humour (reigned in for public consumption) and you have a small hit. But then it wouldn't have been Troma. Lloyd Kaufman doesn't know how to make a movie

I can only base this on one face-to-face meeting, but I don't think Lloyd is a dick. I'd be really surprised if Apocalypse Soon was a true reflection of his on-set behaviour and not a wacky send up of super pretentious directors.

Poultrygeist has some catchy songs too.

Also, Troma's relationship with Lemmy alone should earn them a lifetime pass.

My first exposure to Troma was through Lloyd Kaufman's book "Make Your Own Damned Movie!" He used Troma productions as examples, and because of when it came out most of those examples came from Tromeo & Juliet and Toxic Avenger IV. Based on the lunacy of the scenes he described, I had to check these movies out! And I

Will they bring back soap you can see through too?
