I was a casual follower of the graphic novel up until (i think) sometime when lucifer regained dominion over his universe. Despite that, I still raged when I saw that they were doing a quirky-lead procedural (having run out of 'quirks' like OCD and autism, I guess we're now into shit like, he's an asshole, he's…
Seems like sound in space is where they've decided to conceded line for dramatic purposes. All things considered, I can live with it because they give so much effort and respect in other areas.
I wonder if he lifted that detail from Jack Vance's work.
Anyway, when a children's cartoon, Adventure Time, is doing a better detailing a fantasy world in a post-apocalyptic world, that's a shame. Although, to be fair, Adventure Time is incredibly imaginative.
Colony's first ep was pretty damn good.
I'm going to do a shorter review:
eternal straight man Cube thinks he's found gold in pairing with hot comedian Kevin Hart. Trouble is, Kevin Hart has one lane of comedy and it wears thin over the span of a movie. Meanwhile, Cube continues to contribute as little as possible outside his own particular lane which is…
A bit of good news on that front: SyFy actually doesn't own this and isn't footing those costs. They just have the US distribution & marketing rights. That's much more easy to recoup.
Well, he was fine with his lot and is only now having this awaken in him. Go watch the bar scene and the scene with his ex (partner? lover? both? we don't know yet) again and you'll see it now.
Huzzah, my credibility survives!
I was hoping to see that storyline but I get that they had a tight arc. I suspect they'll introduce it in season 2.
It doesn't, and I stand down.
Ahhh, correct. I withdraw my flag.
I have to raise a flag. We aren't sure WHEN Kilgrave took hold of Luke. Remember, the addict that shadowed her took pictures of her shadowing Luke. Kilgrave would've done his due diligence and discovered the connection.
When he says the sexual tension was all him, that may mean that he has been controlling Luke the…
Let me add for the record that the GoT in Space thing would be cringe-worthy even if it were spot-on, which it is not. It is as accurate as saying Game of Thrones is Breaking Bad with Dragons.
Stay tuned. If you're saying this having viewed eps 3 & 4, then yeah you should prob find a different series.
That's exactly it. He watches pupil dilation, breathing pattern, picks up small tics, etc. I need that pill for my next poker night.
Great Catch!
I agree about the mystery surrounding Kilgrave's powers. By making it literally viral, we're then given a context in which to examine it and things start falling apart. For me, the hospital scene most immediately is problematic, since a hospital is a difficult environment for a virus to navigate in short time. I mean,…
WATCH THROUGH EPISODE 4.
I was where you were at, but by the end of episode 3, I was all in. And episode 4 (which I just watched, which sent me here to see if AV Club was aware of this show) was even better. Tell everyone to watch this show. Tell them it starts slow and feels like a lot you don't care about at first but give it 3-4 episodes…
