Why would I do that? Are you declaring me your mortal enemy from here on out? We're already conversing on another episode note? Will you now go and delete that or edit it to retroactively insult me? Can we disagree without being (further) disagreeable and carry on without this defining our every other interaction?

Awesome, not only did you give me a new insult (shallow), but you also mischaracterized my objection. I'll be happy if I never have to make another note.
But rest assured, I will and you can insult me then as well.

Honestly, once the crusaders and white knights started attacking me, I had half a mind to do so, because those lot are happy to get down to eye-gouging and whatnot. But I'd rather not do that to the discussion area of a show I like. I naively expected my comment to pass without response save for a few likes.

She isn't into the HHM douche at all. I said that Jimmy's venal traits are what causes her better judgement to keep her from romantic feelings.

Ok, I understand what you're getting at.

I take your point (and full disclosure, I'm a humanist, specifically agnostic atheist).

Fair enough.

These conversations aren't tiring to me. Abuse rolls off my back because you're a stranger on the internet presuming to know the entirety of me because I voiced my disdain (and questioned the ethics but not the intent of) the writer linking her religious content. I'm sure she meant well, but it was jarring and

I think that Jimmy at some point did something for Kim that impressed her and caused her to see him beyond the surface. I think she'd go there if not for his more venal traits. Her better judgement keeps her from moving further in that direction despite clearly caring for him.

Be careful, I've been called boorish, unsophisticated and anti-intellectual for raising that point.

That was fascinating to read, and I don't mean that in a condescending way. It's stunningly wrong but passionate.

I'm sure some see it from my perspective and some see yours. But even if I were the only person jarred by it, I'd still make note of it. And just a heads-up: I'll note of it in the future, should she repeat it.

You have no idea. I may have trauma in my index finger.

Thanks, I'll work on my sophistication.

Fair enough, if it's a one-off.
I think the argument falters if we were to start seeing a consistent pattern. So, if nothing else, noting it at least raises everyone's awareness.

While I enjoyed and agreed with the review, your link in stray observations is off-putting.

I had no idea an adaptation of this series was happening. I couldn't understand how that was possible for both practical and PR reasons. Then to read they are making it a procedural?

son flipped his dad, dad peeled off the ones loyal to him and upset at
being lied to", irony being that they weren't lied to and thus they just helped Jones, who has proven herself a true monster.

my take on this episode was, we have two people living their lives in a hole. One is a clock-watcher. He's fat and happy living his life just watching time pass. And he wants everyone else to accept his worldview. His basic needs are met and he's unmotivated to change.

um, agreed?
