Bears: Hey Diddy, 1998 called. They want you back.
Sentient cloud of AXE body spray Robin Thicke.
It's intentionally done, but not for the sole purpose of giving male fans a reason to wank, as you may think.
People do talk about it — this is the show for which the term "sexposition" was coined.
Oh, and btw, you might be interested to know that they tried to shoot Khal Drogo and Dany's wedding night the way it was in the books, where he kept saying "no" as he undressed her, and stroked her, and caressed her, until she said "yes." But the actors were struggling and it took up a lot of screen time, which you…
I'm glad you are open to this point of view. If you care about the representation of women, it really can be very instructive to compare scenes like that. Unfortunately, too many people just see tits and yell "exploitation" without really thinking about what they actually saw.
don't reply to the trolls and they stay in the gray.
People have been constantly talking about this the entire run of the show. It kind of gets better in the last couple of seasons anyway
It really takes the edge off, doesn't it? Treating it like the essentially juvenile nonsense that it is.
SNL did a digital short making fun of this a few years ago. It's pretty good.
This is a very douchy response.
While I made a face at the sandy vagina thing, you might want to hold off on having too many strong opinions until you get past the season that needed to draw in viewers and get to more of the naked men, the men being raped, etc.
People have been talking about it since the show started. At least those who have read the books. The books give us fantastic women who are multidimensional, flawed and complete characters. And all different from each other. George RR Martin discribes himself as a feminist writer and his female characters are…
its cool, i totally get that. (also i feel like i know exactly what scene you are talking about in the first season)
The amount of male nudity is nothing compared to the female nudity on GoT. Look at how many scenes just thrown in naked women as set dressing, or how many feature a fully clothed man/men and naked women. Its gotten better, but still nothing comparable.
Plenttyyyyyyyyy of people have had the same problems with the show as you. Plenty.
Agreed. GRRM built a world, and in this world, women are raped and are prostitutes. Is it a bit gratuitous on the show? Yes. But I would argue the imagery in the books is worse at times. The female characters in this show are fantastic, and I think GRRM does a nice job of showing that women have to achieve power in a…
well, there are a lot of people talking about the nudity on the show. im sure you could find a million articles online.
If you're really worried that you're gonna go off on a jealousy bender on your current bf because of your bad previous relationship (and given how he treated you, I completely understand those feelings), may I suggest you have a discussion about it with the current bf, if you haven't already? Just something like "Hey,…
