that's not a problem for me, I have Android and Windows 7, both with OpenVPN clients installed. Also, my corporate network doesn't allow anything to connect out, I have to use the open guest network and a personal device to do that, so no problem.

I am using OpenVPN on mine, took me only a couple hours to set up.
