HR is primarily there to protect the company, not its employees. HR is the enemy.

I have found that HR does NOT exist to protect an employee in any way, they exist to protect the COMPANY. So yes, going to them will not do anything positive for YOU unless you can show how it affects the COMPANY.

Can confirm, at least on my front. I went to HR with my situation and they were ultimately pointless. If anything, they actually defended my workplace bully.

I call bullshit on calling HR. Unless it’s sexual harassment, HR is borderline useless and will not keep anything confidential.
