Get fouled 7 times, fall down 28.
how are you any less annoying than sixers fans for posting this? you think this was clever?
You’re right, everything from here is pretty much gravy. What’s your point exactly?
If this is the best you can do, then damn Sixers fans have already won.
But Deadspin told me the Process was a failure and Hinkie sucks.
“Actually the league would be better if more teams won 35 games” is definitely a more desperate anti-Process argument than the previous bad anti-Process arguments this site has published.
Maybe he thought the Ankle Monitor would have a “zeroing” method to adjust to his base BAC. Then when he was at .08, it would show -.32!!
Point taken, but alternatively, maybe all those teams are kind of stuck in a gooey middle of mediocrity?
Donovan Mitchell played at Louisville for two years, so technically, he was getting paid to play before Simmons.
I hope Donovan Mitchell wins so I can live in a world where Magic Johnson loses an award to Monte Ellis.
A point that should not go unnoticed is that Donovan Mitchell is basically admitting he’s not as good as Ben Simmons.
Both guys are 21. One spent last year playing ball for 12 months against D1 competition, NBA training Camp, Summer League. The other spent the last 12 months partially in a boot, spent months off the floor, didn’t play in a ‘real’ 5 on 5 game until pre-season.
I think you need to be about 95% less angry about this issue.
Simmons was able to adjust to the speed of the game with a broken foot? He really is special!
Except, y’know, he is.
What mental gymnastics? Simmons played for the first time in the 2017-2018 season, making him a rookie. It’s really not that difficult.
I would argue that not playing competitive basketball for a year doesn’t make you better at competitive basketball.
No offense Dan but where oh where are Tim Ley and Albert Burneko to write about the Sixers now? Are these self-righteous, short-sighted white knights still busy upholding the honor of the game by ripping each of the nine tanking teams as passionately as they did with the tanking Sixers? Seems more than a little…
Man, if only the Sixers had rebuilt the right way like Orlando or the Lakers instead of being swindled by that snake oil salesman Sam Hinkie and driving fans away
Could Deadspin have been any more wrong about this team?
