I have one I picked up from Radio Shack that easily grabs my locals at 95% or better. I live in a small town compared to NYC though, Lexington, KY. Does having that many people in a small area really diminish the signal that much?

I'm going to give this one a service pack before I consider upgrading. Windows 7 has been working great for me. I've messed with 8 on a virtual box and it's kind of neat, but a bit disorienting at first. After messing with it a while, I'm actually neither here nor there about it.
