Absolutely, this.

I’m growing more and more uncomfortable with the seemingly increasing progressive notion that people’s backgrounds must be fully delved into and punishment doled out for things they did years and years ago, retroactive, permanent punishment. It strikes me as so anti-liberal.

Christ. Eminem. My friends and I used to love Eminem and the stuff he put out with D12. I just recently heard some of those songs again for the first time in years and I was genuinely shocked at how graphic it was. Tyler ain’t got shit on Eminem in his younger days.

Is free speech now contingent on the content of the speech passing muster? So who gets to decide? This is not a person being uninvited to perform at a private event. This is a person being denied the right to enter a “free” country. Perhaps you’re British. I’m an American. I understand in the UK there is no absolute

You listened to Goblin. Did you go out and punch women in the face?

1. Calls for censorship and attempts to policing speech have been part of feminism since it’s inception. Feminists are people and thus not beyond the authoritarianism and desire for control that plagues other people and movements.

Oh and additionally you don’t seem to have been able to comprehend the actual argument the piece was making.

Facism pretending to be progressivism.

Just a heads up, it’s not going to rub many people the right way if feminism starts focusing on censoring and policing individual speech.

Chilling speech no matter the subject matter is a cop out. Allow for the free exchange of ideas.

Huh?

Someone beat me to it, but trust me, as a former GameStop employee we don’t like it any more than you do. And corporate constantly has covert agents making sure you’re doing all the things outlined in policy, so it’s annoying as heck.

FWIW

You don't really have to use all the stuff though. I rarely use it for anything except straight video playback. I just like that I never get any weird codec errors when I open a file.
