In the time before digital photography, drones, GoPros, etc., things were different. I always assumed that those folks put themselves in dangerous positions because that was the only way to get the picture they wanted.

Not the same person, but I grew up in the Chicago area, and I can tell you that 80’s Japanese cars, especially the earlier ones, melted like sugar cubes after a few winters. The last one I can recall seeing in regular use was a coworkers ‘85-ish Accord in about 1999, and it was more rust than metal by then.

It just occurred to me that the official Tesla truck rendering just looks like what some designer back in 1966 might’ve done as a “futuristic” version of the Dodge A-100. Just needs to say “Little Red Wagon” down the side.

They’re actually still making them. They’re only broadcast on an terrestrial station that you can’t get unless you have an old television with a rabbit ear antenna. Every so often they slip a new one into the syndication rotation. 

Either that or they’re trying to make it a buddy story. Which would be worse, IMO.
