Reverse: So, sometime around 2000, I was working in a store, and we were located right on a busy main road. At the time I smoked, and our ashtrays were located at the end of the building closest to the street. One day I was out there with a coworker, and we noticed several tow trucks driving past slowly. We quickly…
What I don’t get are the people who buy that shit. I get called a “liberal elite”, when I’m far from elite in anything I’ve ever done or in any way I’ve ever lived (I guess because I went to college, I’m an “elite”). Then these same people try and tell me that someone like Donald Trump or Mitt Romney are “regular…
There are two ways to answer the “What’s your favorite car/car brand?” question.
What he watches on TV, what people say to him, what he “feels in his gut” when that last Big Mac is digesting.....pretty much anything other than actual cold hard facts.
That’s insulting! To asses (both the animal, the body part, and stupid people) and holes of every kind!
I agree, though I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t like the 3 very much, either. It always seemed a bit fussy in its detailing to me. The only ones I really like are the M Roadster and coupe, because the wide wheels and flares make it look tougher.
No starting lights - this was a guy dropping his arms (did he have a flag? I forget already).
Hell, I’d take it with the driveline from the Abarth Spider.
I think the camber change is what gets me. I can see it better in daylight but at night the road just kind of drops away. Plus, everyone flies through there and pays little attention to the lanes (I’ve almost been punted off there a couple of times). I feel that people are better disciplined through there in the…
I still get a little nervous going over that at night, for some reason. I don’t drive it very often so the traffic pattern still isn’t automatic for me. But I’m fine in daylight!
NP, simply because it’s the first Speed 3* that I’ve seen in a while that wasn’t covered in stickers, had the badges cut up into that stupid M thing, and been beaten up. I’m beginning to think that cars like this are getting to be like Willys Americars-most of them have been modified and something like this is as…
My folks used to take me to Contis when I was a kid. I loved the lasagna and the waiter used to pull quarters out of everyone’s ears.
I’m with you on that. They opened one up in my town (in just before it became political to eat or not eat there), and I tried it. I finished my sandwich and fries and thought “Welp. That was food.”.
Haven’t been back.
No, but I do remember Dog ‘n Suds. Superior.
The original is still open in LA, I belive. Big Boy restaurants always had different names (the ones in the Midwest were “Marc’s Big Boy”). I haven’t eaten at one since the early 80's.
that said, anytime I carry a tray or something like I’m serving it, I feel like the kid in the Big Boy logo. I’m a pair of red…
Yeah, we would get the ads on cable networks only (not the big 4), so when they finally opened one in the Chicago area the waits were hours long.
These days I can get in and out of there pretty fast (I occasionally get a chocolate shake there).
I dunno.
You gotta know what you don’t know. That’s the secret to a happy life, man.
Cristics? Those fried Crisco sticks they sell at the Wal-Mart? I love those things.
