Exactly. My Model Y’s nav knows my car’s current charge, where the chargers are, how many spots are available there (at least for Tesla charges) how long I need to charge to continue my journey, starts to precondition my battery when I get close to the charger, my current driving habits to predict charge levels at…
Excellent tip. Thank you! I’m sure I just need like 15-30 minutes with it in an empty parking lot and I’ll be good to go. Just right now I’m scared to drive it somewhere lest I need to reverse out of a street or turn it around by backing it into someone’s driveway or something. I’ll get it...
Backing up a trailer. I just got one a few days ago (my first time towing anything) and the struggle is real. Of course, having my kid yelling in the backseat and 3 different people outside yelling different directions wasn’t helping. But still...
I tried EA chargers twice (with the adapter) and neither time was successful. They were out of service the first time and it just didn’t work the second (still don’t know what the issue was...maybe a handshake issue but it wouldn’t charge). I gave up and never tried again and go out of my way to hit a Supercharger.…
It looks really cool when they display the moon. Can’t wait for my next trip to Vegas. They need to transition from the moon into the Death Star though to trigger the “that’s no moon” jokes.
It’s a warning that the traffic opposite you has a green before you do. You can still do a right on a red, but be warned the people opposite might have a green arrow, but more importantly if you see the guy across from you going, doesn’t mean your light is red (I still think the sign is dumb, but we’d probably be…
The X has a screen in front of the driver, but I’m not that familiar with it. For my Y the single “one screen to rule them all” hasn’t really been an issue. Some concerns about the “single point of failure” but since they updated the software so I can customize the steering wheel buttons, I never really use the screen…
Fair enough but I’d still like to know how “typical” this reporter’s ride is in SF.
So not having ever been in one nor being in an area where it’s an option (so probably won’t be in one for quite awhile), do we have any idea how typical this is? I know these videos are all over, but so are videos of cars going up in flames for no reason. I’m just finding it hard to believe that this is typical of…
I’ve only tried to use non-Tesla chargers twice and both were a no-go. Once only one charger (of the two) was in service and I couldn’t get it to charge the car, and the next time I also couldn’t get it to charge. Maybe a handshake issue or hardware issue. No idea. Point is I don’t even bother anymore and will go out…
I hate it here
Nah, I hate weekly releases. I just wait until they’re all released anyways and then binge it over 3 or 4 days. On some shows, I might start binging the week leading up to the last episode but I’m never watching an ep, then waiting a week, then watching another ep, and waiting a week, etc.
I can’t believe people…
Glad I got in with Google Play Music back in the intro offer for $7.99/month. Years later and I’m paying that for (what is now) YouTube Music + YoutTube Premium.
Still, I sympathize with those who have to deal with YT ads and all this BS.
Good. I bought a Model Y despite generally hating Musk but the biggest determining factor was the charging network. Now for my next car (which will definitely be an EV) I don’t have to worry so much about the charging network if I can just buy anything and use Tesla’s network too.
I had a similar question when this surfaced when Meta/Facebook said they were just cutting off news from Canada a couple of weeks ago. If I (as a user) post a link to a Canadian news site, does Facebook have to pay a fee? What if I leave it up for an hour/week/month then delete it? What if I have it up for 10 minutes…
I may have missed any info about this but is there any insight into if pricing will be different for a Tesla vs. non-Tesla at the Superchargers?
The grand total to make this transition happen successfully ranged from $55 billion to upwards of $127 billion
Probably also not built out of expired PVC.
