I’m just going to copy/paste from an explanation from Reddit because it explains the situation well, but I don’t think it’s a stretch to say there would be no Disney in Florida without this deal being made. DeSantis is just upset cause he’s a dictator wanna be. His antics even play well to his base here in Florida,

We bought at the price drop cause 1) we needed a car and 2) the price drop put it roughly in the same range as the Ioniq 5 we were considering. Add in the $7500 tax credit the Ioniq 5 didn’t have, charging network and a couple other smaller things (like Sentry and Dog Modes) and ignore the Musk theatrics and it made

I love the memory feature. Not sure about other cars but our Model Y does the seat and side mirrors but I wish it also did the rearview mirror and whatever radio station/music we were listening to.

So it doesn’t require the touchscreen. It’s like complaining they provided a way to change volume on the touchscreen when you can also change it from the steering wheel button/scroll wheel. Oh noes...they provided two options!

Teslas have gotten worse since that: now you even need to use the touchscreen if you want to shift into reverse

It was good but my primary interest was the mystery of the abandoned ship and they resolved that and then I lost interest once it turned out to be the 500th show/movie where it turns out (spoiler below)

Man I don’t like that interior very much. Window buttons by the cupholders, the 4-way button very in your face front and center, tons of buttons all over the steering wheel and a very odd looking climate control area (although I suppose the curved right side is supposed to make it blend with the screen above). And

I can’t stand Musk but in January when the Y dropped down to (basically) the same price as the Ioniq 5 that we were considering and also got the $7500 tax credit with it (making it cheaper overall) we decided to get one. Despite all the criticisms of Musk and stuff, it’s a great car and my wife and I love it.

Not sure

My job made us go back to the office 1 day a week but then they started talking about 2 days and I knew it would be 5 days eventually. I left (although that wasn’t the only reason) and now have a permanent WFH arrangement with a company that doesn’t even have a building and we’re all spread out around the country. No

I’m sure there are many people who will keep Disney for the catalog or their kids so they can rewatch things ad-nauseum, but I also imagine the majority of people are mostly interested in new content. Such as myself who doesn’t need to go back and rewatch all the Star Wars movies more than once every 5 years or so.

I remember a decade+ ago looking at my collection of 1000+ DVDs and thinking what a freaking waste of money that all was. Not only was it full of things I had watched only once (barring about a dozen titles that I watched twice and maybe 3 I watched more than that), but they all looked terrible by Blu-ray standards. Co

Oh I see. When I first load it, it only shows the SE, SEL and Limited but you have to scroll to the left to get to the SE Standard Range. A little hidden for me to get to that option.

Could my state not be an embarrassment for one damn day?

Curious where the Ioniq price of $42,785 came from. I was looking at those late last year but even now on Hyundai’s site it says it “starts at $41,450" but if you actually try to build one, it starts at 45,500.

That’s a 2023 model I should point out.

We were considering the SEL which came in at about 55k, but

I haven’t enjoyed McD’s fries in years (since they switched from beef tallow....although that’s shockingly been 30 years now. God I’m old).

Wendy’s is better, and Arby’s is also better (the regular non-curly fries)

Probably because they have the worst of both worlds (both combustible fluids and batteries), whereas ICE and EV’s only have one or the other.

My Netflix on my Chromecast already recognizes my VPN and doesn’t open up. I have to disable the VPN on my TV to get it to fire up. Been that way for months.

These comments soon to be filled by dozens of people who definitely pay and don’t share their passwords (or maybe a few who admit sharing their passwords) and will definitely 100% be canceling, and not a single person who uses a borrowed password but doesn’t pay.

I agree however their messaging about how this is going

You are right. Sometimes I forget that the site is not really a technical/news site and expect more than it provides (in this case, despite the headline, I was expecting more details on the system). My fault for setting my expectations too high, or rather expecting any article on EV’s or autonomous driving to not be

This could have been a “look how great this is!” article with a lot more information about the system rather than “look how bad Tesla is” article. I mean, if you took out all the Tesla stuff, you’d end up with this:
