You’ll see more as the 2020 election approaches. Trying to save their own skin so they don’t get dragged down with Trump. Vote them all out.

“Socialism” is just the buzzword the GOP and Fox News are using about progressive policies to scare their followers who can’t be bothered to understand the differences between social programs, democratic socialism and socialism. Bah.

Looking forward to trying the Burger King version. I’ve only had one Impossible Burger which was about a year ago and cost about 75% more than a regular burger at that location (and was smaller...the patty was closer to a McD’s quarter-pounder size than a thick beef burger you’d normally have at a restaurant. It was

That’s only because you don’t understand the purpose of the census. It’s to measure population, not citizenship. For example (and only one), if a city is trying to estimate how many funds are going to be needed for emergency services or infrastructure, it needs to know how many people are in the area, not just

Don’t get a LifeStraw. Invest in a Sawyer Mini or a Sawyer Squeeze for the same price or just a little more. So much better.

I’ve been scared to rewatch it and worried I’m remembering it through rose-colored glasses. Good to know it holds up.

Maybe I missed something but the big thing in the article seems to be the automatic sorting into categories (like Dairy or Fruits/Vegetables)? How is this different than what Out of Milk does? Same with collaborative lists and stuff.

“well. there’s you’re problem right there....that’ll be $550.”

We can just mop the forests like Finland then. Problem solved.

Yeah, it’s mounted like two inches on top of the door, so you just have to push the paper in and angle it up a bit to trigger it.

We have doors at work like this and we can just slide a piece of paper between them near the top to trigger the motion sensor. Very secure, but has saved me a couple of times when I’ve “locked myself out” by forgetting my badge.

If you actually read the article (gasp!), car ownership actually averages $523-$706, so this is actually about half that. You have payments, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, gas, and depending on you situation, inspection fees and parking and car registrations fees. Not to mention any potential traffic or parking

So you’re saying they aren’t included with Prime. Just like I said.

But Prime only includes old/completed HBO stuff. No Game of Thrones or Westworld for instance, but you can get The Wire, Oz, Sopranos, Deadwood, etc.

Good idea. I use my points for XBOX Gold and XBOX Game Pass, so those are “free” for me, but I’m about a year ahead on both, so I might start using them for Hulu now...or maybe streaming movies for newer releases or something like that. I’ll have to look to see what’s available.

Also, if you set it up right it should

The study took into account “quality” programming, regardless of whether it’s an original or not. So maybe a highly rated show like Seinfeld or something is on Hulu but not Prime. From the article: “Reelgood looked for just the 20,000 most popular shows and movies among its users, minus any that were very poorly rated

I just pay for all 3 (Hulu, Netflix and Prime). Still costing me something like $100 less than cable, although admittedly I cut the cord about 6 years ago so I’m not even sure what it would be costing me today. People bitch about the quality/selection but there’s still more than I can watch. Even just for Netflix and

Same. I put my phone on my treadmill and watch Netflix thinking it would count it when I entered my 45 minutes of running. No such luck.

I haven’t watched Unfortunate Events but does it have an intro before the theme? If so, I don’t know that it lets you skip. Seems to be only on series where the intro is first. My guess is they know how long the theme song is, so if it’s first, they just know know to skip to point X. For example, it knows the theme

When can we expect Tweets about “the failing Netflix” and “low ratings” and “Netflix approached me and begged and begged and begged and offered lots of money. The most money. Everyone says so.”
