When every incident gets tons of coverage, it doesn’t matter how safe they are. They will never be perfect, but they will certainly be (and are arguably) better than a human driver. I feel it’s similar to airplane crashes. No reasonable person should be that scared of flying as it’s proven to be one of the safest

Catalogs are similar (I mean, Apple claims 45m while GPM claims 40M and Spotify 35M), but Google Play Music had the ability to upload your own music as well, which is awesome (I have roughly 20k songs from small/local bands or live performances uploaded).

Not sure why you would need a desktop app as you could just use

I’m 45 with about twice saved! Woo-hoo! Oh wait...

Same...I’ve been on the $7.99/month since the beginning. Now I don’t know:

Ditto. I’ve been in to GPM since the beginning and only paying $7.99/month for it. I know it’s a little early but wondering how this is going to work converting over to YTM and YouTube Red. I mean, does my subscription carry over and will I have to pay $11.99 for both or am I considered a current YouTube Red

Signed up for an invite! Not sure I’ll actually use it since I feel the library and thrift stores/yard sales might be a better deal, but it is intriguing for new, undiscovered books.

I bought one of these (a different version of the Philips one during one of these deals: the HF3520 model for $97 at the time) and was pretty disappointed in it that it was missing some common features. No battery backup. It doesn’t auto-set the time when plugging it in or adjust for daylight savings (something my 20

Yes that seems like a good idea and would go further (plus allowing you to jump to a decision point to see the alternate version from that point forward).

The idea of going to a theater for this doesn’t appeal to me at all.

I have little doubt it’s more like:
“Short Amazon”
“Tweet about Amazon, causing stock prices to fall”
“profit”

Trump doesn’t do things if it’s not lining his or his family’s or his cronies’ pockets.

so hypothetically if I posted this comment offering my services, Gizmodo will be held accountable? Good luck with that, internet.

Due to life events I had to downgrade to a less-than-stellar neighborhood. I’ve taken it upon myself to clean up a bit. I’m surprised by how many people just want to walk around in their own litter/trash in the neighborhood. Take a little pride in your area.

This seems like a ploy to get some cheap classic Legos from fools trying to offload them.

One thing the article fails to mention with Fi is that you only pay what you use. Yes, you pay $10/GB but if you only use 1.5GB, you only pay $15. If you use 1.75GB, you’re paying $17.50. If you use 1GB, 3MB, you’re paying $10.03.

If (like me) I had a month where I was on wifi nearly all the time (Yeah I was laid up

That’s awesome. I just ignore the news feed. I mean, I like to use Facebook for the business pages, groups, event planning, messaging, etc, but the news feed is kind of awful so I hardly even look at it (or participate in my own posts)

In addition to the other comments, you’re only looking at the tax cut. Yay...you pay slightly less INCOME taxes for a couple of years, but more for insurance because they’re sabotaging that and you get less deductions and they have a 1.5 trillion deficit to make up for, that nearly everyone thinks is going to come

In all fairness, the reason for that is that they always add new devices so you can click on (for example) you have a model of TV that came out last week or the new XBox and it’ll know the right codes to use. Granted, instead of a cloud service, they could provide an update every day with the latest codes (since new

It probably just took him that long to figure out what the FCC actually was supposed to do. I’m sure he had his staff combing through tons of documents trying to be able to justify or find out if they could legally do exactly that...

Have they considered building a (fire)wall and making the hackers pay for it? Cyber is complicated.

It’s sad (SAD!) that someone even needs to tell the President of the freaking USA to not read this site out of fear he will believe any of it.

I feel you. I even once “lost” my kid at a freaking Gymboree, which is pretty much impossible, but it was still 20 or 30 seconds of panic (which seemed like 5 minutes) until I found him hiding in a different set of playground equipment than he was in 2 seconds before disappearing. Amazing how fast they can get away.
