I don't understand people that say this either, and I'm married to one of them. To me, it's the most intriguing opening. I was hooked immediately. Most perfect show in the history of television.

I'll have to watch episode 1 again. I think Maurice confirmed Ennis was dead, but that doesn't mean he killed him. Perhaps I'm remembering wrong. Am just thinking it's possible there may have been other forces at work regarding his death.
