Yes, I’m from Southern MD and feel like this article could have been written to describe the aftermath of last week’s shooting at Great Mills. It’s very different than the reaction in Parkland.
I’ve been thinking about this kind of thing a lot recently.
Yes, my thoughts exactly!
Yes, you describe it well - I have definitely seen that happen over and over. My husband was mystified the first time I had a medical crisis with him, and I stopped to change clothes before he drove me in. I always dress so carefully when I have to go to the doctor for something serious. If I am going straight from…
Looks like he is 27 now, and this happened in 2011 when he was 19.
That’s why I figured it was a Republican, because it said he was now Minority Whip.
So THAT is how you’re supposed to dance to that kind of music?!? Wow... that video is mesmerizing, I am sad that I missed this particular cultural trend.
I trust the agnostics and the chill atheists just fine. The evangelical atheists, though...
I agree, seems cheesy to me
Thank you for introducing me to this designer! I just watched the video for this season on her website, and every model looked hot. Not only did I appreciate the ethnic diversity, but the older, thicker and trans women were clearly not “Isn’t this zany?” tokens, but examples of people she hopes will wear her clothes.…
At my thrift store for home improvement, we sell appliances, less than ten years old, for $75 to $225 each, on average. We offer a 3 week return for money back, with receipt.
The oldest nonprofit one is the Loading Dock in Baltimore, it’s about 3 decades old. But in the last 15 years, hundreds more have sprung up around the country! If you want to find one near you, there are a few national directories you can search:
eShakti will solve all your problems! Their dresses automatically come with pockets, and you can specify the length of sleeves, the neckline, and the hemline. Not only that, but many of their dresses are cotton. I got an amazing heavy cotton knit dress that I have worn all winter long, and it still looks as new as…
Me too!!! Our minister was wonderful, and my husband’s vows were amazing... but I admit that also really loved the part in the ceremony where I took my vows out of my dress pocket, and all our female guests were surprised and impressed.
I work at a thrift store for home improvement supplies. We have folks who visit weekly just to take a look at our tool department, hoping we’ll have old Craftsman tools.
And that is exactly why we started offering a boot benefit at my workplace. The new hires don’t have the money for a decent pair of boots, and even some of the guys who have been with us for a while would much rather spend their money on their kids or to send back home than to spend it on themselves. But then they are…
I work at a nonprofit reuse center that accepts home improvement materials. We will often have someone offer us a truckload of surplus items as they are cleaning out a warehouse or something. We spend time and money to go pick up the donation... only to open up the boxes and realize that while the boxes are new, the…
I had the opposite experience with our wedding planner. She was great at negotiating and had all sorts of ideas and tips to help us save money and cut out unnecessary stuff. Not once did she push us to do something we didn’t want to do. And she definitely paid for herself very quickly - she saved us so much on all the…
I got very lucky in that my husband’s family loves to bake pies. So his parents and his grandmothers made 20(!!!) pies for us, and somehow drove them the 3 hours down to our wedding location without any catastrophes. It was amazing and delicious and so much better than sheet cake.
