I think this is more inartful phrasing on Prick Scott’s part. What he’s really saying is something that everyone knows anyway.

Anyone blaming the weather forecasters or claiming that they’re party to a conspiracy — and that includes Lexi, whoever she may be — is indeed an idiot. Otherwise, I agree with you.

Don’t forget Shane, the other woman in the article, who thinks that staying inside the house she can’t afford to shore up for the storm is somehow going to protect her house from the storm. I get that people have complicated reasons for staying or leaving, and this storm has thrown people for a loop, but no one quoted

Yeah, Splinter’s Irma post is far better.

I think maybe there was a good post somewhere in there about how prepared the west side of Florida was in dealing with this, but framing it around some random person’s twitter rants misses the mark. I mean, maybe if it was Beyoncé.

Yes, who is this Lexi person? Why is she being quoted like she is an authority or the voice of the people? She’s just an ordinary person venting in a crisis.

Uh, what is this? Let’s base an entire article on hurricane Irma on one girl’s twitter rants? Lexi, weathermen use these things called models because it’s impossible to predict where a hurricane will go as it’s traveling hundreds of miles. I was sick yesterday and did nothing but watching MSNBC and CNN. The governor

Ok, so I liked the song but not the chorus of LWYMMD. And this I like the chorus not the bulk of the song. I’m hoping for a complete song that I like off this album.

Just like sports, very few of the student body get to participate in the Greek system yet student funds go to pay for their existence and eventually, these lawsuits. It’s a wonder that colleges, which are run like businesses now anyway, don’t get rid of the Greek system because it’s more of a liability than a draw for

Abolish the Greek system.

How is there anything wrong with playing the Isley Brothers’ Shout for goodness sake?

Some of these songs were played at my wedding. Why? Because everyone likes them and gets up out of their seat to dance to them. Electric Slide jumps out as a fan favorite. Maybe it’s just because I was in high school when it was in its heyday.

You know what’s common about most of these songs?

Regardless of if these songs are annoying, people still go ape-shit for them. Fun is fun. Don’t be a grump. Image related... it’s OP.

Going to an article expecting a list with words of some sort and instead encountering a video

“Some of us don’t need to apply womyn’s studies 101 to every single element of every single day.”

I dunno. She wasn’t taking about parties like yours, where you want to be doing that. She was talking about the women who have this kind of party because they feel like it is expected and they’re supposed to like it. My bachelorette party could have easily gone that way. I don’t really drink and would feel so out of

There’s nothing wrong with getting together with your friends. The piece is about the bachelorette formula - why do some women feel the need to stick to that formula (themed shit, strippers, forced debauchery, a certain type of outfit, etc) and have all the requisite accoutrements, including penis straws, even if

I immediately guessed this person was between 12 and 14. It made me so sad because she’s already willingly objectifying herself for boys. It just reminded me of that Dook student’s powerpoint that said more about how little she thought of herself than how transgressive and feminist she was.

Clearly we were the only people who understood the power and beauty of historical pop songs.
