about halfway through two shows, Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt, very rewatchable, so many jokes, and 12 Monkeys, felt like the show improved over season 2, doubling down on Jennifer Goines/(the equivalent of Brad Pitt in the movie) and using it as an excuse for some fun set pieces.
Until she let her true emotions show when her face was not visible to Shadow.
as a non book reader, I think they could have been a little more clear in the connection between Mad Sweeney's coin and Laura coming back to life as a somewhat zombie.
They foreshadowed the pills thing with her extended look at the pot of food when she was alone in the kitchen. I'm not sure why but I thought she killed them all after she claimed Judas as her disciple and I was wondering why she would do such a thing?
I think it actually gets funnier.
I might be out of touch but I don't believe I have listened to one song from Lemonade but knew what they were parodying right away.
Michelle Monaghan yes, but I hated every character on the Path by the end of season one except her unseen sister who escaped the cult and could not bear to watch anymore.
Twelve Monkeys season 3 is pretty bonkers, and I thought season 2 was complicated. I'm reminded of the switching identities plot in Angie Tribeca.
I'm only on episode four but I laughed a lot. On the other hand I've watched all of Great News and it really has not connected with me after eight episodes, not finding it that funny. YMMV.
This season is great, i'm only on episode four but so many jokes per episode…
Angie Tribeca is off the charts goofy, but TBS is not a major network.
OK I did not watch The Jinx so is the Durst peeing himself a thing he did to convince judge/jurors he was not sane?
It's on Friday night so if you have a life you might not know about it. I only have HBO Now and pick the New Episodes tab and it shows up and I watch it.
Here I am.
On the real life versus fiction, Dev was asked to help the date pick Tinder/whatever matches, he resigned himself to help her whereas in Texas the guy sued his date for texting during the movie which seems cartoonish - we wouldn't believe it if it had happened on this show.
I kept thinking it's her, it's her, then from a different angle, OK it's not her.
It was interesting for me to see Bobby Carnivale not play someone over the top (until the end) as I had only seen him in Boardwalk Empire and Vinyl before this.
Even Jefe the Chef? The reveal makes everything beforehand we know about him different.
I've watched all eight episodes and it feels like an offbrand version of 30 Rock with all the right musical cues and story beats. I got a huge laugh out of her WOW character reveal but a lot of the rest of the jokes miss for me. Not sure if just too preoccupied with current events to enjoy this show.
