I still don't Understand why you wouldn't patch, I've had nothing but success with patches, thing is, if the patcher says an error was caused by some file somewhere, simply move that folder somewhere else temporarily.

@WarlordPayne: Bastards stole so much ore back when I played the PS2 version, when I was an MH nooblet, still am not awesome at the game like some pro's but I would say I'm better than average, or at least I would be, if I kept playing it. 200+ hours is incredible longevity for a game in my opinion.
