@Trulymadlyme: I got married in the Episcopal church, and there were only a few choices for bible verses, including a couple that were straight-up sexist, the verses that say a wife will be subservient to her husband. I think we avoided (notice I don't remember for sure, even though it was 2 months ago) 1st

@Cafezinha: I feel so bad for the kids in Mad's class. How're you going to compete with him?

This transformation is painful to watch. The worst part is that he so clearly thinks he's awesome!

@PilgrimSoul: That sounds fantastic. Do you have any books or other resources to recommend?

@KiddyKat: But no one was mean to me or anything. In fact, I was not overweight, so they would have picked on me for something else had they chosen to do so. It was something about my brain chemistry that I latched on to the idea, when I was very young, that everyone was judging me on my weight.

I can remember being too afraid to jump in the pool at my 5th Birthday pool party because I thought the splash would be too big. A year later, my mom bought me a dress that had little hippos working out all over it (weird, right?) and I refused to wear it because I didn't want to be associated with fat hippos that

@HistoricUpstart: I get this point. However, I'm wondering what good it does plus-sized women for one of their strongest advocates to criticize a couple of lines for 16-25-ish year old plus-sized hipster women. I understand that the range of clothing still isn't there, and we are lacking attractive plus-sized options

@AFever: Chicago hipsters, too. The more '80's the better.

@J.D.Regent: Funnily enough, as I was thinking about it, I could not think of any opinion Alito has written that I've read. Obviously, I have read them, but they made no impression. Kennedy's the same way for me. Whenever someone asks me to name all nine, it's a quick 8 then "uh, um, I know there's another one...

@J.D.Regent: Who's your least favorite justice? I have to say that the ones I most disagree with philosophically, Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, write some of the clearest opinions, so I can't hate. I find Thomas especially adept at the pithy concurrence, even though what he's saying is often idiotic.

@J.D.Regent: Ha! I forgot all about that. My Civ Pro professor was the liberalist liberal I ever did meet; she clerked for Stephens and wrote a book called The Jury Process about how awesome juries are. She thinks settlements should not be allowed because all cases MUST HAVE a jury. Anyway, she said Scalia is by far

@NefariousNewt:She can't do that until she's confirmed. Like how Obama can't admit he's a Secret Muslin until after he gets sworn in for his second term.

@J.D.Regent: As much of an a-hole as Scalia is, he would never flip the bird. He would crush your soul with a clever turn of phrase.

What? She writes opinions that state the law and explain her reasoning? WHY?!?

@jgh:She's making me tear up.

@J.D.Regent: Seriously. You're in America, man. Speak English.

@Megan: His voice has the exact tone and timbre that makes it impossible for me to hear the words he's saying. It's like the adults in Charlie Brown.

@Megan: Same. And the answer I'm getting is, "Just refresh it." First, that only works for the first page of comments. Second, that's going to get old pretty quickly. I realize none of the editors are at fault here, and you guys are doing an awesome job trying to help figure things out, but I hope you have some

@Megan: Yeah, I keep refreshing and getting no new comments, then all of a sudden 10 new comments. I can't complain about tech anymore, though, or I'm afraid I'll lose my ability to comment.
