The tricky bit is that it’s not just logic - but negotiating the natural internal fallacies that many people have. The fear of the other runs deep in some.

I get where he’s coming from. I’m probably further to the left than he is on almost every issue. But that doesn’t mean it’s ok to deny objective reality in pursuit of your goals.
