This is fully, 100% incorrect. It’s not evidence of motive. A reasonable person would not say “this is probably a hate crime”, because that’s not supported by any evidence at all. A reasonable person would say “We don’t know why she was killed”. We only know what happened to the body.

This is a good point. It seems like she was tortured to death, really vile stuff. I understand how “normal” people can kill someone, but I don’t think I could ever understand a normal person intentionally inflicting so much terror, despair, and pain on a living person. Speaks to a level of psycopathy of the killers.

It’s not hard to tell: We have zero evidence of motive. That her killers knew she was trans does not speak at all to motive.

This belies a profound ignorance of what a hate-crime law is and how they work. Do like, a modicum of research before accusing someone else of being a Klan member for having a contradictory opinion when you in fact have no idea what you’re talking about.
