Thanks. The local neuro that threw in the towel pretty quickly is USFneurology. That doc just left the only major local headache program in town, and so should know if that was appropriate referral for him. (doesn't seem to be... I talked to them and was told it's geared towards getting people off opioid which he is

Thanks, but I 'm familiar with those (mostly marketing) affiliations that have sprung up all over Florida like weeds., and those are no goes. I'm debating between Johns Hopkins, New York Presbyterian, Cleveland Clinic. Need something a little more than yet another local unknown. The supposed best headache specialist

I need some help. My husband has suffered debilitating headaches for years, but with the aid of an occipital nerve stimulator they were controllable, and he was working (data base administrator-lots of high level thinking). Until July 1, when he underwent sinus surgery. The headaches ramped up to intolerable levels,

You're not from the South, I take it? Depending on the context of your family, "ass whuppin"can vary greatly. In many families, it can be no more than a verbal reprimand, albeit quite dramatic and heated. Others, yes, indeed, it can mean a range of physical violence. Also, generational constructs play a role, as well

Yup. Something the mamas used to tell us littles back home..

not where I come from.

LOVE!! My husband is atheist, and loves all the Christmas. It's as religious or as secular as you want to make it. Years ago, I worked at a hospital where the majority of our docs were Jewish, and the nurses were mostly Christians. We put up a tree and a menorah, and the docs brought AMAZING kosher food for us.

Hugs to you. It does feel like a community here at times, and I have shared too, and people have been great. Read comments, take what seems to help to heart, and discard the occasional shithead. Best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, my. I must disagree with your last sentence..well, second to last sentence. Having a baby to strengthen a marriage is not a good idea. A child is a stressor, albeit, in most cases, a welcome one. If there is not a unified plan to have a child and raise it together, it can destroy a marriage. I'm not a

Bourbon and branch, baby. Bourbon and branch.

Heh, when I was in Greece it was a bottle of water slammed down on the table as soon as I sat down. I had heard about this, and the trick was to say "nero vrisis" right away. It means"spring water " or rather tap water, which was no charge. Never had a problem getting my tap water, either

Sir Paws, could you provide your professional credentials? No need to identify yourself fully. Just, say, your field of study and current practice. Thanks in advance.

Never have seen my husband of 32 years without a beard. I saw a picture once- I had a nightmare that night that he had shaved it. I woke him up by sleep pawing at his face and crying no over and over.

I wanna llama! Although I pronounced it lah-mah. Mr. AZ corrected me, "it's yah-mah". Fine, I told him. I'll name her Llama Mae.

So, kinda off topic, but I figured you people could help. I'm looking to buy my first tv in years. A friend told me that the tvs at the warehouse clubs are assembled using inferior components as compared to the ones sold at electronic stores. I can't find anything to confirm or deny that. Anybody have some knowledge

I live in Floriduh. That should explain it.

I like it. I worry about offending people by using a form they don't agree with. But I suspect not everyone who it might apply to would like it.

I just looked into this! In my state, I would have to pay for embalming, and transport to one of the medical schools that could use me. It actually works out to be more than the cost of a cremation at my local funeral home. I'm still debating. On the one hand, I love the idea that I could continue to teach those

We have a telephone reassurance program through the local crisis center here in my town in Florida. There are many older persons here who have relocated away from where they spent the majority of their lives, so this is a concern for the community. The senior (or disabled person, for that matter) gets a daily phone

I have an etiquette question. I am in therapy since July, getting help coping with my husband's sudden onset of an extremely painful, completely disabling illness. My therapist is wonderful, and has been so beneficial. We still are working through husband 's illnes, so i'll be continuing with therapy for at least
