In the book, black people are dubbed "Children of Ham" and sent to "homelands" in the Midwest. So I think in that particular case, being white fit. The book goes into details about how basically everyone who wasn't an Evangelical straight white man was victimized.

In the book black people are deemed the “Children of Ham” and are sent to “homelands” somewhere in the Midwest. Jews were the “Sons of Adams” and were given a choice between converting or moving to Israel, but most were dumped into the sea on the way. So, I think it would've been pretty white.

I’m the same way. It’sa good thing I’ll never be rich because I DON’T UNDERSTAND RICH PEOPLE!

Urban Outfitters does that. They call it their “Urban Renewal” line. I’m like 99% sure that people just get old stuff from their closets and claim that it’s from that line in eBay listings.

I saw Chinatown when I was very young (my mom checked it out of the library after Pinky & the Brain did a parody of it). I thought it was amazing. Then I found out what Polanski did.

So much ewwww here, but this takes the cake:

Agreed. I loved the 70s stuff. The contemporary parts were just awful and had so many awful Allen tropes like the shrewish girlfriend.

There were plenty of “Manic Pixie Dream Girls” in classic era screwball comedies, so Allen doesn’t deserve credit for that.

That, and then has the nerve of tut-tutting politicians for politicizing the film.

There are also tons of photographs of Allen spending time with Farrow and her kids, including Soon-Yi, on vacation and out to dinner and the like.

Farrow wasn’t his “ex” when he started banging her daughter. She found out when she found nude Polaroids of her daughter in Allen’s apartment.

Someone posted this last year on Gawker about Walton’s museum. I saved it because I found it fascinating.

More than one Wal-Mart employee told me that Wal-Mart tells people to apply for food stamps.

I also posted that because I too think it should always be mentioned when someone talks about Alice Walton.

Arkansas is where she has her vanity museum too.

Fun fact: Alice Walton KILLED SOMEBODY!

I just posted above about a douche-y guy that takes certificate programs at MIT and brags about it. His Linkedin is the funniest thing ever (we used to be coworkers, so if anyone looks me up he shows up on “People Also Viewed”). He says stuff that’s true, but he describes it in the most annoying way ever.

I know a really douche-y guy that takes certificate programs at MIT. He tells everyone he “goes to MIT,” and has, “multiple degrees from MIT.”

celeb gossip site ONTD was talking about the case like 2 years ago. and it had been on his wiki page. dont tell me fox searchlight doesnt have an assistant vetting a film maker before dropping 17 fucking million dollars on it

I was a college wrestler at a rival school at the time. I remember this vividly. Celestin was solid. Parker went on to transfer to Oklahoma and I believe was an All-American there. So these were two talented wrestlers in trouble.
