That is my mom’s all-time favorite movie. I grew up with it and am still fond of it.
When you’re a woman you’re told not to do 90% of stuff alone: go to clubs/bar, go jogging, walk outside at night, etc.
I wanted to name my future daughter Ophelia. Then I turned 15.
I’m glad my mom isn’t the only one! She’s the worst about movies. Often she’ll only remember one minor unimportant detail and ask what the movie was by describing it.

When I commented on another article about Depp’s other films not making money, I was told that he’s still popular overseas, which seems to be disappointingly true.
I grew up in an economically depressed area where teaching was one of the few decent jobs. There were certain teachers and administrators that had it in for poor kids. Many of us got lower grades, were punished more harshly, and excluded from activities. Racism was also rampant.
I have no problem believing that she, or anyone else, is obnoxious, but her behavior seems minor compared to people like Sean Penn, Roman Polanski, Charlie Sheen, etc. who got/get chance after chance.
It’s just bizarre to me that they’re such opposite. It’s not only common, but encouraged. They ever have a name for it: bleeding the beast.
