I wonder how much of this may also be attributable to this being roughly the age many women report first getting sexual comments and cat calls from/being sexually harassed by boys and men.

“Reconcile” here means having a private, under-the-radar meeting with her family and some religious figure from the community, where her dad makes mealy nonpologies and she’s pressured and shamed into absolving him. There’s a very specific meaning for that word in far-right religious circles.

Spy ended up being one of my favorite comedies of ALL TIME. From the disguises they kept giving her, to Jason Statham parodying Jason Statham, to the dynamics between Melissa and Rose Byrne...I was cry laughing.

Another creator who is definitely a good man is Mike Schur. I was just listening to him on the first episode of the Good Place podcast and he was clear that he *always* envisioned the cast as diverse one, and that is so much. And I can never forget Melissa Fumero’s story of being so simultaneously proud of Stephanie…
