Except, it’s only women who suffer from having children during this time period. Men can have all the kids they want, because the whole field and process is built around their biological realities and the assumption they have a wifey at home to take care of everything else.

Damn Viola Davis’s response is perfect and powerful and about to make me cry. She’s truly a treasure. I don’t have the words to say how much I admire her consistently good commentary about the state of the world but I hope she knows how important her words are to so many people.

Agreed! Two shows that I missed out on when they started airing, but caught up with. I’m mad that they haven’t been receiving more critical praise. I think it might be because they’re female driven.
