My mom went through all this shit, and I agree that the cancer treatment stuff has been handled with an unbelievable realism.  I cry enough during this show, but the cancer plot hits so close to home.

I agree that the complete lack of Max development is weird, but the show already has such a large scope in regards to the family, and with the cancer plot dominating the storylines, I'm not sure how wise it would be to do too much with just Adam's family in too many episodes.

The facial acting on this show is unmatched by literally any TV show I can think of.  Monica Potts and Mae Whitman especially are unbelievably talented and have gotten a lot of great range so far this season.

Kristina gets Braverman of the Week for me, because Monica Potts has an amazing amount of subtlety in her acting sometime.  Her eyes are super expressive.  Amber is awesome, and get it girl, but she should be asking what those pills are pretty quickly.

That part confused me, because even in the context of the shuffling of episodes, she hooked up with Jeremy like three episodes ago, didn't she?  That couldn't have been more than a month or so in show-time.  You'd think she'd tell Danny about it, even if she needed to leave the identity of her bedroom party partner…
