I agree. His behavior was to show Lagertha for the strong woman she was. It's like the princess. She is the pregnant and boring wife showing Ragnar what he lost when he lost Lagarha. I'd like the princess to go.

I know Lagertha did become the earl for a period of time. Maybe she was the only one to really stand up to the old Earl. Even the men in the room (other than the one warrior) just went along with him.
