Well I’ve never posted on SNS before but: I have just finished my first month post-divorce. I can’t really call it that because we had a wedding but no legal marriage, and really I wish there was a non-goopy term close to ‘conscious uncoupling’ because I’m proud to say its closer to the truth.

This was a very satisfying novella. The twist at the end! The character development!

I need this right now! At this time in my life and in history, there is nothing more healing and inspiring for me than tough, brilliant ladies talking about the interesting lives they have led. More, more, more of this please. Also super excited for the Jane Fonda bio on HBO.

Here are things that always help me:

As an artist who struggles to make a living, and has poured years of my life and significant resources into the generation of the kind of ideas you pay someone to knock off: shame on you.

I teach teens, and I can confirm that my female students seem to feel naked if they CAN’T show some midriff. I think with their clothing trends being so basic (althleisure mostly) they feel the need to kick it up a notch. The good thing is, body positivity has made it ok for all sizes of girls to bare their bellies.

No more scrubs! A weekly mild acidic peel will do wonders with no damage. For acne and scars, Retin A and Niacimide (Ordinaries). Hyralonic acid or a moisturizing serum of your choice (Again, Ordinaries). Then seal it all in with a couple drops of Rosehip Oil into your moisturizer (I like Cerave). And Sunscreen every

I have a tip to make this work! I love the Vitamin C Suspension for the results, but it definitely gives me the tingles. So, after I apply it, I follow with Argan Oil (Im sure any will do) and moisturizer (I use Cerave Night Cream.) It soothes and calms my skin immediately.

I LOVE the Cerave foaming cleanser- I’ll stick with it forever. I have dry skin and it makes it feel amazing.

You know, I just got back from a week’s vacation without my TO products (the glass bottles don’t travel well), and I came back with the flaky, patchy, dull skin that I forgot I used to have. I can’t imagine that this guy’s any worse than the CEO’s of most of the companies I shop at; Whole Foods, Amazon etc.

I can understand your interpretation, but as someone who grew up with ponies, I can assure you this is basic pony behavior. Most of my childhood pony rides ended by my pony bucking me onto the ground or running under a tree branch in order to scrape me off. They bite, they kick- it’s just basic pony charm! You gotta

I am an Ordinaries fanatic- it is the only way I can afford to have a full skin regimen and learn what works for me through trying different things. I love the caffiene solution for eyes, the buffet and aha serums, and especially the vitamin c solution. Deciem also has a line of body products including an argan oil

James Franco is the most boring part of the Deuce. Every time he was on screen, I looked at my phone until one of the women characters came on. Why on earth is he considered so critical?

Ok, I am inspired to make a MAJOR sex-positive, youth-friendly recommendation based on this prompt: When I was a tween in the 90's, I discovered the graphic novel ElfQuest. ElfQuest is a fantasy epic with profound themes and compelling storytelling that was a bit marginalized due to its ‘feminine’ aesthetic. The

I watched this with my husband last night, and we really enjoyed it! It was very satisfying to watch the Fab 5 provide their mentees with a different version of masculinity that emphasizes self-reflection and self-care. You could see the mentees thrive within the dynamic the Fab 5 offered, acknowledging periods of

I am fifth-generation Californian and Always Coming Home describes the California in my heart better than any other work of art I have every encountered. When I read it, it felt like she had mined the secret places inside me to craft it. One of my favorite novels of all time.

Yes! I know that every single day, Trump does something that undermines all sense of reason and reality in our world, and it casts statements like these as just weird quirks among his other monstrous characteristics. But...wanting all sharks to die is a REALLY FUCKED UP POSITION. I mean, who even has that thought?

Yay for them. I can’t wait to see that beautiful baby. Anyone want to play guess-the-name? I’m guessing Star or Crystal...

I know this will be a controversial opinion but...fuck the National Parks. I am absolutely in favor of conservation, much more comprehensive conservation than we have now, but the National Parks have turned some of the most majestic places on our planet into strip malls. Yosemite and Yellowstone are the worst- giant

I had that as a teenager! My advice would be to expect a long recovery. Sure, you’ll be up and around when they say you will, but you may not be magically pain free. I would say it took me 6mos -a year to FULLY recover and be pain free for the first time. The tissue can stay inflamed from the surgery for a long time.
